Quick Slider Recipes That Will Make You Ask For Seconds


Want to know what makes a grilled burger more fun? When they're fun-sized! Serving sliders at your party is a must-try. You can serve them as appetizers or as the main dish (with sides). Plus, kids love them! Mini burgers cook much faster on the grill and you can serve plenty of people right away with just one batch from the grill!

These quick slider recipes will surely be winners at your next backyard barbecue:

Mean and Green Sliders

What you need:

20 brussels sprouts, halved
6 slices bacon, cooked to a crisp then chopped into squares
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup wheel brie, sliced into squares
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon chilli powder

Kosher salt and ground black pepper
Melt the butter in a medium pan over medium heat then cook onions until tender, about 5 to 6 minutes. Add garlic, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, maple syrup and chilli powder to the pan. Season with salt and pepper. Continue cooking and stirring for 10 minutes then remove from heat. Combine olive oil, salt and pepper in a bowl then toss Brussels sprouts in the mixture. Cook Brussels sprouts in the same pan until tender, about 15 minutes. To assemble a slider, sandwich a piece of bacon and a square of brie topped with onion jam between 2 brussels sprouts. Secure with toothpick.
Beer and Cheese Beef Sliders

What you need:

12 pretzel buns
For the patty
3/4 kilogram ground beef
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Kosher salt and ground black pepper

For the sauce

2 cups shredded cheddar
1 cup shredded mozzarella
1 cup milk
3/4 cup beer
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons chopped chives
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Pinch of cayenne

Combine beef, egg, garlic, breadcrumbs, mustard and Worcestershire sauce in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Shape into 12 small patties and place in a baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Bake in a pre-heated oven (400F) for 15 to 20 minutes or until cooked through. To make the sauce, melt the butter in a pan then whisk in flour. Add the beer and cook until reduced. Add the milk and bring to a simmer before stirring in cheddar, mozzarella, chives, mustard and cayenne. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until mixture is thickened. Spoon sauce over patties sandwiched between pretzel buns to make sliders.
